$2,495 for couples

$2.795 for singles

Tour members will have the opportunity to purchase their favorite wines directly from wineries, with the option to have the wine shipped to USA.

Why am I not using the service of a minibus and its driver?

  • the cost is rather high and would bring the price of the tour up $900 per person
  • on the rest/relaxation day, everyone will want to do something different, so having your own car will give you the freedom you need.
  • in the evening you might want to drive to a restaurant of your choice located within 20 min. drive from your hotel instead of eating in the same hotel restaurant every night.

Arrangements

Includes 6 nights of lodging in a luxurious chambre d’hôtes/hotel, 6 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 2 gastronomic dinners, focusing on local dishes. Includes admission to 11 wineries and all wine tastings.

* The price does not include flights from the US, train rides and rental cars.

Our friend Jacques Martinet at Calparrio Travel Services, calparrio.com, 415-612-6012 [email protected], can easily help you set up all your flights, train rides and rental car to suit your needs . This way you can choose your own dates of coming and going and decide which class you would like to fly, etc…

My Recommendations
Having traveled from California to France many times, my suggestion is that you fly to Paris, if you can stay 2 or 3 days to visit this amazing city and adjust to the local time zone. One of my favorite areas is Montmartre: so inviting, lots of history and things to visit, fun/good restaurants and why not treat yourself with a cabaret show at the famous “Moulin Rouge”. For where to stay, check out this cute hotel “Le Relais Montmartre“. I have stayed there several times. It’s very charming and super clean!
Then you could choose to:

  • take the TGV fast train from Paris Gare de Lyon Station to the city of Dijon and rent a car there or
  • rent a car straight from Paris and drive down, about 3 hours by freeway or
  • stay overnight in Chablis, in the heart of this amazing wine region (the most northern part of “Bourgogne” which is where the Chardonnay grape originated) or
  • stay overnight in the city of Dijon or Beaune (this one located in the heart of Bourgogne, very pretty and with many things to do and visit).
